Our entire nation was rocked by the tragic event that occurred on September 11, 2001. And this definitely wasn’t in a good way. One of our signature cities was literally brought to its knees and thousands suffered. Most of us stood in awe as the commercial airliner hit the twin towers. What a mess this was to clean up. Probably the only good thing that came from this event was the bonding of New York locals. Our society truly came together in a crisis. The question is; where do we stand now, over 5 years later? We certainly made our feelings clear about the terrorist attacks when we retaliated on Iraq and Afghanistan.
