Cisco Certification is a standard industry certification for those that want to work in the field of information technology. Cisco Training is provided by a number of authorized learning partners to maintain consistency in teaching and training the next class of IT technicians.

Cisco Training begins with a CCNET certification. This certification allows a person to learn about network security, the hardware used in setting up a network, and how to perform routing and switching techniques. Once this part of Cisco Training is complete, a technician can work towards a CCNA Cisco Certification.

CCNA Training is important for learning more advanced subjects in information technology. CCNA Training is also a fundamental step for additional Cisco Certification including the Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). A technician participating in CCNA Training will learn advanced techniques in specific subjects including wireless networking, remote sites in a WAN, and troubleshooting medium-sized networks.

Technicians participating at this training level have two options to receive the CCNA certification: they can pass two tests (ICND and INTRO) or passing the single CCNA test. These tests are also used for those that have already earned their CCNA and need to renew their certification. An alternative for renewing the certification is to take and pass an exam for the next level of certification, either a professional certification or a specialist certification
