Are deserts and sweets a good holiday gift for a co-worker?
For a co-worker, chocolate makes for a professional, and personal, inoffensive gift, especially for someone you may not know well. Whenever someone has trouble finding a holiday gift for an acquaintance (and it can be difficult to find something you know the receiver will appreciate), go with a classic choice that gets the highest praise from most, and also do so without breaking the bank. Chocolate gifts are a great choice for these and many other reasons, among them because they are relatively inexpensive, and can be bought at a widespread number of retail stores. Chocolates can come in a broad variety of brands, styles, flavors, and range from simple candy milk chocolate bars to extravagant organic dark chocolate truffles. Chocolate is also a great choice compared to other deserts because of its shelf life, chocolate can be stored and eaten for weeks after the holidays, and stored in the refrigerator for even longer lasting pleasure. How many office parties, either Secret Santa parties or other holiday gift giving parties such as a baby or bridal shower, have you noticed a jealous co-worker wishing for another’s chocolate gift, while they are stuck with a mug or paperweight. Just be careful that the person receiving the chocolate gift is no sensitive or allergic to any of the ingredients used in chocolate, unless they are allergic to chocolate itself, most items can be found with substitute ingredients.
